Bitten by the HR bug
1975: I studied law at KU Leuven. During my studies I work in a factory and I experience how essential HR is. I decide I want to be an HR Director…
… and 2 years later, I have the opportunity to do just that as a legal adviser. That was the right time for me to underpin my approach with a course in Personnel Management (UCL) and Strategic HR Management (Vlerick).
A mini-MBA (Ichec Brussels and subsequently Vlerick school) completed my education as an all-round manager with a good understanding of strategy and figures. However, the HR bug would never leave me:
- 25 years of HR experience in several companies and sectors
- 10 years of teaching change management and strategic HR management
- 10 years as a consultant, with 35 satisfied customers
