Tools and Methods
Andante does not want to present itself as a toolbox. At the other side, when needed, Andante can provide you with a wide range of Tools and Methods. Andante wants to be seen as a system integrator ‘à la carte’.
All our tools and methods have been chosen on their quality and are all based on scientific research. All of them have been validated. Amongst others we can note the theory of James Quinn in relation with the leadership and organisational culture, the theory of Elliott Jaques in relation with the potential assessment and the theory of Ajzen base for assessing the willingness to change.
Our approach is based on the figure bellow. Optimum is reached when individuals and organisations are aligned.
Enabling Individuals:
OPUS is an ideal tool for the development of exempts. It is based on the theory of Elliott Jaques. It does assess in a +/- 2 hours qualitative interview and role-playing the potential of people. Potential means not only the current competencies but also the future shape of the person. In which direction and how far can we develop our person in order to align his potential with the strategy of the organisation. In which direction should he or she be developed?
In situations, for instance, of merger and acquisitions it’s a fundamental asset to identify the potentials and operate in due time the required retention management.
MYWAY is based on the theory of Graves. Whereas OPUS identifies what a person is capable to do, MYWAY will work on the values of an individual, or what a person is willing to do. The tool is developed on the computer takes 30’ to be filled in. The MYWAY tool is an ideal additional report in relation with the OPUS assessment. Again MYWAY should be used in situations of change management in order to assess in how far an individual with his/her individual motivation and values aligns with the corporate culture
Enabling teams:
TEAMSCAN assesses the effectivity and the quality of teams. It targets to improve the performance and cohesion of teams. In situation of change its one of the critical success-factors to form a so-called “powerful guiding coalition (source: Kotter, 1996)
Enabling organisations:
FOCUS is based on the theory of James Quinn. It’s the classic tool to analyse both the current and the future or wanted corporate climate and culture. We choose the focus tool as it has been worked out by the KULeuven (Professor Karel De Witte and his team) and furthermore developed with 10 other European universities in the frame of an Erasmus project. Focus is advised for M&A projects, cultural change projects, projects focussing on the introduction of customer orientation or also in the situation where an organisation wants to implement a total quality approach
DINAMO is a tool enabling an organisation to identify the main issues on resistance to change. Identification of these elements at the earliest stage of the change project is key to turn the resistance towards willingness to change. We advise to combine the quantitative approach of DINAMO with a qualitative sample of interviews.
Most of our tools and methods are available on intranet or Internet. Do not hesitate to contact us in case you want more information.
